The renovation of the orthopedic operating block of the S. Andrea university hospital in Rome focuses on the expansion and quality of the healthcare offering for the benefit of citizens. The Orthopedics project is a virtuous example of the healthcare service in terms of the creation of flexible healthcare facilities capable of ensuring an adequate and continuous ability to transform spaces. Attention must therefore be paid to the environment also in terms of the quality of the products installed and their maintenance over time. The operating block of the S. Andrea hospital has in fact installed automatic hermetic Ponzi PSE certified doors, suitable for operating rooms, intensive care, diagnostics, research laboratories and clean rooms. The PSE Hermetic Ponzi door is airtight on all four perimeter sides. The mobile door, in the final phase of sliding, performs a combined movement of sliding, falling crushing and vertical translation on the perimeter ledge and the gaskets are sealed against the frame and the floor of the door, which closes uniformly at 45°, taking advantage of its weight.
With this system it is possible to accurately control the air requirements, the air conditioning and pressurization system of the operating room. The door, class 1 fireproof for use in hospital environments, is made of a coplanar, insulating sandwich panel (60 mm thick) with an HPL laminate surface in different colors and customisations. Ponzi is also able to maintain its automatic doors through the after-sales service made up of staff trained internally within the company throughout the national territory. Ponzi makes its knowledge in the healthcare field available regarding the organization and ability to respond to healthcare systems and services that change and evolve.
The healthcare organization path can in fact be supported by Ponzi thanks to its great experience in automatic hospital and operating doors, having as its reference the quality of the outcomes of the care pathways and making the system more reactive and flexible with respect to changes in the healthcare context and consistent with the hospital needs.
